Safety & Stabilization Assessments (SSAs)
A Safety and Stabilization Assessment (SSA) is required for you to access domestic violence shelter in Multnomah County. An SSA involves a short pre-screen, then a longer in-person assessment with a trained advocate regarding your experience with violence, your current circumstances, and your plans for the future. Completing an SSA helps the advocate match you with housing resources that may be available, like rental assistance, emergency domestic violence shelter and other housing options. To learn more about an SSA or to complete a pre-screen, reach out to a Call to Safety advocate by calling the crisis line.
